Early bird price-Two Milonga Pass is available for purchase

Luxe milonga and Milonga La Zandunga  are offering early bird price two milonga pass for Feburaray 26th Luxe milonga(9:30-4:00am) & Milonga La Zandunga (7-11:00pm).

Original price for two milonga is $25($15 for Luxe, $10 for La Zandunga), early bird price $21 ($4 off). If you are planning on going to both milongas, you will save yourself $4 by purchasing the two milonga pass in advance. Remanda and Julio will be selling two milonga pass from now on till Friday(Feb.25th) at all milongas the coming wk. You can either pay by Cash or  by check, for check please write to “Fangxiao Xiang” or “Julio Mendoza”.

Luxe Milonga: Call for your dance pictures!

Luxe Milonga is calling for your dance pictures. We’d like to have 1-2 of pictures of you dancing tango. It could be pictures taken during festival, regularly milonga or advertisement shots for your tango profession…etc. It could also be just you in the picture or with a partner. How we are going to use your pictures is going to be a surprise!! Keep it  mind, by sending us your pictures basically automatically means you are ok with us using your photo at Luxe Milonga.

We accept either actual 8”×10” size photo print out or digitial file at resolution >=1200×1600 (optimal at this resolution, but anything close to it should be ok).  We will print them at 300DPI.

Please send your pictures (2 maximun/person) to with subject titled as “Your name + pics for Luxe milonga”. Our cut-off date for accepting pictures will be Feb.21st.

Feb.26th Luxe Milonga Volunteer Opportunities Status Update

Dear all,
Below is an email that Jenna and I sent out to Portland tango list asking for volunteers. We have been getting lots of emails from folks to volunteer. Thank you for your great interests!!
I’d like to update the status so you all know that all of our volunteer opportunities have been filled. (Update in blue front below) We will certainly have more volunteer opportunities for future events!!

If you are interested in volunteering for Luxe Milonga in exchange for free entry, let us know! 

We need: 

3 people to watch the door for 90-minute shifts

  • 10:30pm-12:00am–Filled
  • 12:00am-1:30am–Filled
  • 1:30-3:00am–Filled

1 person to help set up & breakdown – Filled

3 people to help transport the portable floor and set it up. Breakdown and transportation back from whence the floor came would be helpful also, but we wouldn’t need to do that until the next day. — 3 all filled

About Remanda Xiang (Luxe Milonga Organizer)

Tango came into Remanda’s life in 2007 simply because she was tired of Salsa after dancing and performing for 4 years. Not an exciting cause but that has lead to one of the most beautiful thing in her life ever since……

To Remanda, tango is a mysterious exploration and inspiration that teaches how to embrace, how to feel and express feelings in a musical way, and most importantly, allows her to create & tell a story with her partner. Remanda says the pleasure and satisfaction she receives from tango is indescribable and Remanda is grateful that tango is part of her life and always will be.

She would like to thank her husband Brian for the support to create this milonga for her beloved tango community. She is happy that she found herself a partner-in-crime in Jenna Rohrbacher to create  for everyone in Portland and beyond!
